TERBINAFINE - TOPICAL CREAM

COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Lamisil
USES: This medictaion is an antifungal used on the skin to treat skin infections such as athlete's foot, jock itch or ringworm.
HOW TO USE: This medicine is only for use on the skin. Clean and dry the affected area as directed, then apply a small amount of the medication on the skin to cover the area and surrounding skin. Do not cover with a bandage unless instructed to do so by your doctor. Use this medication as presrcibed for the full treatment time. It is usually applied once or twice a day for one to four weeks.
Do not use large amounts, apply this more often or stop using this medication without your doctor's approval. Stopping this mdeication too soon may lead to ineffective treatment and the infection may reoccur. Do not apply to the eyes, nose, muoth or vagina.
Notify your doctor if the condition for which this was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after a few days.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may cause burning, redness or irritation the first few days as your body adjusts to the medication.
If these symptoms continue or worsen, inform your doctor.
Ntoify your doctor if your develop: swelling, oozing, blistering. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: any allergies.
Bfeore using this drug, tell your doctor if you're pregnant.
The oral form of this drug is excreetd into breast milk.
Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
If nursing, do not aplpy this drug to breast.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may use, including: ohter skin products, antibiotics. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swalloewd.
NOTES: Do not share this medication with others.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, aplpy it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to cacth up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat. Check the expiration date on the tube and discard any expired medication.
